Romans named as the UK’s Estate Agency of the Year
The Sunday Times Estate Agency of the Year Awards 2011 were held in London just before Christmas: the most respected, high profile awards event in the property industry calendar, which celebrates the very best in the property profession and is hotly contested by hundreds of estate agencies from across the country.

At the end of the evening, Romans received the most prestigious award of all, with the company named as the Overall Winner for 2011 – meaning that Romans is now recognised by industry experts as the best estate agency in the UK. This was the culminating event of a rigorous judging process carried out over a four month period by a panel of industry experts, and overseen by the Property Ombudsman, Christopher Hamer.
“This is a business which is all about personal service, and understanding the reasons why and how customers engage - Romans takes these principles and weaves them through its entire operation,” the judges’ report commented. “The breadth of services offered by this agency is impressive - backed up by excellent customer service and expert staff, customers can rest assured that the standard of service they receive is second to none. We congratulate Romans on proving themselves to be the best in the country and taking home the Estate Agency of the Year Award 2011. Well done.”
“To say it was a proud moment as I collected the trophy on the company’s behalf is an understatement - it was a truly unforgettable experience,” said Vincent Courtney, Managing Director for Residential Sales. “I’d like to thank every single person in our company for their individual contribution to winning this fantastic recognition at a national level. It’s their hard work and outstanding service to our customers that has made this possible, and so this award is dedicated to them all.”
This win also partners Romans’ award for the Overall Winner of the Lettings Agency of the Year Awards in June 2011 – a unique double which has never been achieved before.
