Alun was very helpful and proactive from us approaching him to sell the property to the deal being finalised. He was always available on the phone to discuss how the property was doing on the various websites it was listed on as well as the general level of interest in the property.
We actually moved from another local estate agent because they had not offered the level of 'push' for the property that we had expected, but this was not an issue when we dealt with Romans and they found us a buyer despite the stagnant market.

1. As a first time buyer I was happy with the service from Romans. They worked hard to ensure I could view the property when I had time, which at times was late in the evening or on a Sunday. They were always contactable and any messages I left were returned within 20-30 minutes.
When it came to exchange and completion Alun was very helpful, guiding us through the process and pushing things along when necessary. Romans obviously has a good relationship with the vendor and were able to go to them with all of our questions / concerns.
I would use Romans again.

We had the most pleasant experience selling our house using Romans. I don't know if all the agents are of this quality. As we had the best service imaginable from our agent from the Caversham branch - Alun Graham.
He took great care & effort in helping us get the best deal for out place & went the extra mile in making it all possible. We were in a few sticky situations, but we came through & we'd like to thank you Alun for the service u provided & all the help that you are still willing to provide even after completing the sale. That's what I call 5 Star!
I have no hesitation in recommending Romans in Caversham. If u live or want to move around here, this is the place to go to.

We had previously tried to sell our house using 2 other agents, lowering the price from £320k to £299k over a period of about 4 months earlier in 2011. During this time I think we had 5 viewings so had removed it from the market to review our options. We decided the only real option as a family was in fact to sell and move home so we approached Romans to market it for us as they had a bungalow on their books which we really liked.
Alun came to value our house and it was decided to market at £295k. We had 3 viewings booked in during the first week of marketing and sold it within 3 days! We were so thrilled.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond all of our control, the bungalow we liked was not easily available for purchase. This was really hard to deal with as we had been so fortunate in selling quickly but Ashley did everything he could to try and secure it for us. We were offered options by Ashley, including selling ours and renting until the market refreshed.
Eventually however we found another bungalow which we proceeded on with another agent and so the chain was complete.
We have been really pleased with the level of contact, professionalism and the result. They were great on the phone, always calling back asap and easy to get hold of. When we just walked in unannounced a couple of times they were friendly and totally on top of their game.
In conclusion, they did what they said they would do, they sold our house.

A professional service from Romans - from the initial valuation through to sale I cannot fault them. There was continuity of agent contact, the same two people virtually all the time, & we were able to establish a good working rapport because of this. We had weekly catch ups, either in person or by phone, on where we were with viewings/responses so we always felt we were being looked after. Thank you guys!

I recently sold my property via Romans of Caversham and felt that I should write this review because from the initial valuation appointment when Alun visited me and gave me the price and discussed how Romans were different from the other agents in the area, right through the selling process to exchange and completion, I found the whole team to be extremely professional and willing to go that extra mile. I would recommend Romans to any one looking for an outstanding level of service and professionalism. Thanks to Alun, Paula, Tim and Ashley. Will come back to you when we next move.

The agents (Caversham Branch) were very helpful and professional, keeping me informed at all stages of the selling process. They were helpful in marketing the property very quickly after getting details, and this resulted in a quick sale. All members of their team were properly informed about the various stages of the sale. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who is selling a house.

Firstly i have to thank Matthew at Romans in Caversham, he came into a rather awkward situation but dealt with it so professionly then Adam was introduced who was put under quite abit of strain but again dealt with it and Tim the Manager, who kept in touch all the time a brilliant bunch of guys who i cannot begin to thank enough, they helped me every step of the way, nothing was too much trouble for Matt, but the star of the show has to be Paula, Paula fought right through to the end, if it wasnt for Paula i think it may have all fallen through, its a stressful thing to have to do this on your own but Paula was there all the time backing me and helping me. To get the call from Tim to say congratulations on the exchange was lovely, thankyou so much guys, i vow never to move again but wouldnt hesitate to recommend you. THANKYOU SO MUCH Jackie and Liam williams PS Adam was lovely with my son Liam, he had alot of crap thrown at him from third parties but stood his ground as did Matt and i thank you both so much for that

Chose Romans over everyone else in Caversham and so glad I did. The service we received was first class. The customer service after we sold by Paula was brilliant. We had a nightmare purchaser of our house and without Paula i'm convinced the sale wouldnt have gone through. The whole team derserve credit and i couldnt thank them enough. I would recommend Romans to everyone! We bought our house with another estate agents and the service we received was poor. The Romans team made sure the sale and purchase went ahead and we can't thank them enough. Thank you... Gary Waite & Family

From the first moment when Nadine ensured that all the paperwork was in place, whilst I was in the USA on business, through to Kelly-Anne ensuring any maintenance issues were resolved and the ongoing professional service by both Matthew and Alex, my experience with Romans has been nothing short of exceptional. Unlike other nationwide brands I have dealt with, I would not hesitate to recommend Romans Caversham to anyone!!
